Grant Information

Each fund is adjudicated by its own separate committee. Grants are awarded at the grassroots level to registered charitable organizations with application intakes that occur throughout the year.

Financial Management
We value your donation and we want to ensure it is protected in order to build the legacy you are creating. All our funds are held in perpetuity through our agreement with the Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation. They now have over $70 million invested and while we are a small part of that it allows us to make use of their investment experts to ensure that the investments made create a balance of security and growth.

Women of Courage

This wilderness experience, for women who are overcoming family abuse, couples challenging activities with therapy. Hosted by Woowich Community Services, the program involves camping in tents, low ropes, caving, rock climbing and a high ropes course. Community Band

Community Band provides Affordable Music Training to All Ages (picture of child with flute) The Breslau Bloomingdale Maryhill Band is a community led band which has been providing an opportunity to learn to play and instrument and perform since 1979. Anyone from age 7 to seniors is provided with an instrument at nominal cost and there are weekly practices for beginners to advanced musicians. Greenhouse

High School Revitalizes Greenhouse with eco friendly heating The revitalization of the greenhouse at Elmira District Secondary School (EDSS) was a community wide project that WCF was excited to fund. In order to run effectively the greenhouse required a heating system. This presented an opportunity for students to learn about and assist in the installation of a geothermal heating system, both efficient and ecofriendly.
