Community Band provides Affordable Music Training to All Ages (picture of child with flute) The Breslau Bloomingdale Maryhill Band is a community led band which has been providing an opportunity to learn to play and instrument and perform since 1979. Anyone from age 7 to seniors is provided with an instrument at nominal cost and there are weekly practices for beginners to advanced musicians. Instruments would be out of the financial reach of many families who have multiple family members participating in the band. While minor repairs are done by experienced band members, there are annual costs to maintaining instruments, buying music and keeping the weekly fees affordable.” …………………..” says Barbara Robinson who plays clarinet.
